I would start off by saying good use of flash and ISO in this set of images. The Best image in my opinion is the the last image. I like how the subject appears expressionless but is still showing emotion in some way. It is truly documental, I feel like you could use that last image as the cover of a investigative documentary or life story. It has a deep level of affect. it makes it seem like there is something going on that you don't know. I don't know, that's just me because I watched documentaries a lot. Great work on the photos!
In the symbolic category the photo does not speak much as to who they are. In order to capture a better photograph of who they are i can have them put on clothing that is more symbolic to them and what they do. Or have them look at the camera so that you can see the emotion in their face. For the environmental photo it would have been better to have more context in the photo. I could have also included the game he was playing. In all of these photos there is little contrast it is overall very light. The documental photo was the best bc there was little distraction in the background and he has a neutral expression on his face. It might have been better if the only thing in focus was his face and have the background blurred.
